MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS (PER UNIT DOSE)
Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum, Seed):....................280 mg (50.4 mg of Aescin)
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide colloidal, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, magnesium silicate, Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, poly (ethylene glycol), Maltodextrin
INDICATION
Help to treat hemorrhoids, varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency and associated symptoms such as the sensation of pain and heaviness in the legs, swelling, cramps, itching and capillary fragility
DOSAGE
Adults: 1 tablet, 2 times per day or as deemed by your physician or your nutritionist
PRECAUTIONS
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use of Variless if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Although there is no restriction of use in the elderly, they should consult a health care practitioner before using this product.
Patients receiving oral anticoagulants should not use Variless.
Variless should not be administered with nephrotoxic drugs such as gentamicin.
Horse chestnut also decreases blood glucose and may therefore enhance the action of antidiabetic drugs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Variless is contraindicated in:
- People with known hypersensitivity and allergy to compounds present in the formula of Variless, and also in people hypersensitive to aescin or extracts of Aesculus hippocastanum.
- Children under 12: there are toxicity reports showing that aescin absorption is higher in children, predisposing them to greater toxicity.
- Patients with renal failure and liver failure: It is also known kidney and liver toxicity reports of herbal products containing chestnut horse.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Some people may experience headaches, dizziness, nausea, itching, and stomach discomfort. In rare cases, it can cause gastric irritation and reflux.
Saponins present in Aesculus hippocastanum seeds can cause contact dermatitis in patients with hypersensitivity to this product.
